PERSPECTIVES OF VOLUNTEER MOVEMENT IN RUSSIA
Abstract
The article considers volunteering as an effective
tool of state policy in youth, social and employment
spheres as it helps to realize the citizens rights to participate
actively in the life of their country and thus to promote
its long and short term socio-economic development.
Volunteerism favors both people receiving assistance and
volunteers themselves. The conclusion is based on the
study of the motives that generate volunteer activity both in
economically developed European countries and presentday
Russia.
