PHENOMENON OF RELIGIOUS IDENTIFICATION OF MODERN YOUTH
Abstract
Religiousness as a system of collective ideas about world structure bore an adaptive function since its origin and gave a sense of predetermination from above. To what extent does religious consciousness help or prevent from adapting in modern society? How does religiousness influence modern young men’s character and identity: to what extent are these influences constructive or destructive? On the basis of vast experimental material and on the example of Christianity the author gives answers to these questions.
