https://doi.org/10.18384/2310-7235-2021-1-6-19

Abstract

Aim. Reducing the scale of dispositional mindfulness (CAMM) for the Russian-speaking sample of adolescents and bringing it to a one-factor structure. Methodology. For psychometric testing, the correlations between the items of the scale and the test were studied and the indicators of their reliability were analyzed. The factor structure was checked using the confirmatory factor analysis, and the criterion validity was carried out using the correlation analysis. Results. The study showed that the scale, reduced to 7 items, corresponds to the one-factor model according to the chi-square test and performs well on the RMSEA, Pclose, GFI and CFI indices. Cronbach’s alpha index points at the acceptability of a 7-items scale for its psychometric reliability. The correlation analysis with relevant constructs confirms the criterion validity of the reduced scale. Research Implications. The reduced scale of dispositional mindfulness can be used in individual and group diagnostics of adolescents
