Abstract
dimensions of this concept. So we speak about space, cultural, social and interpersonal
dimensions of loneliness. First of all, we should admit that these dimensions were
investigated by W.A. Sadler and T.B. Johnson. The authors come to conclusion that more
than one dimension of loneliness can provoke anomia. However, there are still many
problems concerning concept definitions, loneliness origin reasons, and its manifestation
in the language. At the end of our article we can just add that the relevant problems of
loneliness are open to further discussions and the author tries to suggest psycholinguistics
approach to these problems. According to this approach the author gives the procedure and
the results of the experiment which was carried out with two groups of students (English
and Russian).
