Abstract
Aim. The goal is, based on an analysis of research, to reveal the inner life of a person using the example of the phenomenon of insight
Methodology. Analysis of psychological, fiction and philosophical literature, self-reports of people who experienced insight at different ages.
Results. Three types of insight have been identified - from a sudden solution to a specific scientific problem to a more or less clear awareness by a person of his purpose and future creative path in general. The study allows us to suggest that the prospects for the development of humanitarian psychology are associated with the development of the spiritual and practical experience of humanity, which is quite closely related to the search for the meaning of life for a person of any age.
Research implications. The analysis and identification of types of insight can be used by psychologists and teachers in the field of creativity development at any age.
