ATTITUDES IN INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS OF ORTHODOX CHRISTIANS

https://doi.org/ 10.18384/2310-7235-2017-2-80-87

Abstract

The work covers the results of the comparative study of attitudes in interpersonal relations of orthodox Christians. The main sample group (70 people) is represented by orthodox Christians with highest religious involvement; the control group (70 people) is represented by people who do not belong to a certain confession. Measurement showed that the orthodox Christians have a higher degree of destructive communicative attitudes, including the inclination to sharp polar categorization and the intention to accumulate negative emotions inside. The results are interpreted through the concept of full or partial internalization of religion.
