Эмоциональная чувствительность к сверстникам является необходимым психологическим качеством для успешного взаимодействия людей. В подростковом возрасте происходит переход из сферы непосредственного общения в сферу знаковой культуры, что предполагает индивидуализацию деятельности подростка и развитие его интеллекта. Экспериментально доказано, что чем выше у подростков степень эмоциональной чувствительности к сверстникам, тем ниже уровень развития невербального интеллекта и наоборот, чем ниже степень резонасности с эмоциональными оценками сверстников группы, тем выше степень невербального интеллекта.
Emotional sensitivity to contemporaries is a necessary psychological quality for successful interaction of people. In teenager's age there is a transition from sphere of direct dialogue to sphere of sign culture that assumes an individualization of teenager's activity and development of its intelligence. Empirical studies prove that in adolescents emotional sensitivity to age peers negatively correlates with nonverbal intelligence levels: the higher the sensitivity, the lower the non-verbal intelligence development level and vice versa.
